March 15 Training Night

On Tuesday March 15 Springfield Fire Company went to the Delaware County Training Center. There the training officers had several scenarios set up. 23 members practiced search and rescue in “Joe’s House”, then they went out to a water station, practicing hose line advancement. The final station was a big step for several members. They have recently turned 18 and are finishing fire school. Part of the tower qualification is climbing the ladder and getting into the bucket, then climbing out and descending the ladder. We would like to congratulate Ed Able, III, Tyler Ressler, Anthony Owens, Aiden Sceno, Kenny Felker and new member Ben Salmieri for completing this part of their training, we are proud.

The Street Sweeper certainly was not cleaning the Pig Sty Gas Station. However, kudos to our brave firemen who helped avoid disaster.

I was coming out of CVS a little after that and saw all the cop cars. Now I know what happened
