Fire Company Loyalty Day Award

On Tuesday May 9, 2023 the township will recognize a police officer, EMS responder and a fire company personnel with the yearly Loyalty Day Awards at the Commissioners meeting at 8pm. The fire company has nominated two members, Ed Abel, III and his brother Tyler Ressler. Both members joined as cadets (14 years old) and have been very active in serving their community for 5 years. Both have been certified as Firefighters nationally after completing over 200 hours of training. The young men put some of their training to use in February saving a woman choking at a restaurant while out to dinner. Ed and Tyler run track and attend Widener University. Both young men are an asset to the company and the community. Due to a scheduled fire company event Ed and Tyler will receive their awards at the June 13 Commissioners meeting. Congratulations to both of them.
