Commercial Building Fire

On March 8, 2021 at 112am Springfield Fire Company received a dispatch for a commercial building fire at the Vape Shop located at 430 Baltimore Pike. Clifton Heights (Quint 3), Collingdale (Engine 33), Garrettford (Ladder 20), Morton-Rutledge (Engine 13), Holmes (RIT 43) and Broomall (RIT 53) fire companies were also alerted. Engine 44 arrived and found fire showing from the front of the business. Crews placed a hand line in service and with the assistance of the other companies the fire was quickly extinguished. Companies were on scene for about an hour. The cause is under investigation by the Township Fire Marshal and Springfield Township Police.
