2021 Halloween Parade

The fire company assisted the Young Business Woman of Springfield in hosting the 2021 Halloween Parade on Wednesday October 20, 2021. There was a large turn out and all the ghost and goblins had a great time. Here are some safety tips:

1. Trick or Treat outdoors, do not go into homes

2. Gather in small groups if necessary

3. Attend outdoor events such as pumpkin picking or a corn maze

4. Wear a proper face mask

5. Offer prepackaged goodies

6. Costumes should be loose fitting and reflective. Children should have a glow stick or flashlight while walking. Be cautious when walking near candles or fire pits.

7. When operating a vehicle drive below the speed limit and take an extra few seconds at the stop signals. Please keep your phone in your pocket so you are not distracted.

The officers and members of Springfield Fire Company want to wish everyone a happy and safe Halloween.
