2005 Sutphen Heavy Rescue
Springfield Fire Company took delivery of the new Sutphen heavy rescue truck on Saturday, July 23rd. The 2005 Sutphen heavy rescue includes: 6 person split-tilt crew cab, 2 – 15 kilowatt Onan hydraulic generators, 2 – 6 kilowatt light towers, Detroit Diesel 60 Series engine rated at 490 horsepower, 4 6000 psi ASME air bottles that supply the Mako SCBA fill station, one low pressure and one high pressure air reel, 9000 pound Ramsey electric winch with 4 mounting locations around the truck. Rescue 44 is the second responding apparatus on all motor vehicle accidents and first responding on all RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) responses.
