Engine 44-1

Engine 44-1 is the first responding apparatus for all structure fires in Springfield Township. Delivered in March of 2004, 44-1 was placed into service on July 24, 2004. Some of the features of this unit are:

Detroit Diesel 60 series engine rated at 490 horsepower, Allison World transmission, 2000 gpm Hale Q-max mid-ship single stage pump, 900 gallon Pol-E Gold CFP water tank, 1500′ 5″ supply hose, 300′ 3 1/2″ supply hose, 300′ 2 1/2″ hose, 1 – 200′ 1 3/4″ preconnected rear hose line, 1 – 200′ 2 1/2″ preconnected rear hose line, 1 – 300′ 1 3/4″ preconnected crosslay hose line, 1 – 200′ 1 3/4″ preconnected crosslay hose line, 250′ 1″ booster hose line, 6 person crew cab, remote controlled Elkhart master stream device, 12 kilowatt Onan hydraulic generator, Zico ladder rack, 28′ extension ladder, 14′ roof ladder, 10′ folding/attic ladder, 8′ folding/attic ladder
