Springfield Fire Company was dispatched to assist Company 02 (Norwood) on Tuesday, April 24th at 13:50 hours at 201 Tatnall Avenue, Norwood Borough on the Second Alarm assignment for the Rapid Intervention Team.  Engine 44-4 responded with 6 firefighters and set-up on the fire scene on Tatnall Avenue.

Company 02 was originally dispatched to the address for a possible brush fire.  Upon arrival there were two detached garages and a shed well involved in fire with fire extending to multiple dwellings.  During the operations, three firefighters were unaccounted for after evacuation tones were sounded for one of the dwellings involved.  Springfield's Rapid Intervention Team and Company 45 (Parkside) Rapid Intervention Team worked together and quickly located the three firefighters on the second floor of the dwelling.
