Elevator Motor Fire Smokes Up County Courthouse

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Wednesday, January 3rd, at 18:27 hours, to the Delaware County Courthouse, to assist Media Fire Company (Company 23) with the Building Fire.  Units from Company 23 and Company 73 (Rose Tree) arrived on location and received reports of smoke on the upper floors of the Courthouse on the Orange Street side of the complex.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 19:45 hours.

Companies operating on the scene were:  Company 23, Company 73, Company 44, Company 51, Company 41 (RIT), Medic 104-7, Media Police, Delaware County Park Police.
