Members Complete Vehicle Rescue Training

On Saturday, June 10th, 10 members of Springfield Fire Company and two members from Rutledge Fire Company completed the last section of the three part vehicle rescue training class that was being held at the Station.  Springfield Fire Company hosted the class at the firehouse and the program was run thru Montgomery County Fire Academy.

The class taught members the latest techniques in vehicle extrication and also dealing with the many hazards of modern vehicle construction.  Firefighters performed different extrication techniques on 5 vehicles that were donated to the Springfield Fire Company for training purposes.  Springfield Township's Public Works property was used for the hands on training portions of the class.

Springfield Fire Company would like to thank Bill's Auto Body, Morton, PA and Springfield Township Public Works personnel for assisting the Fire Company with making this training opportunity possible.  Springfield Fire Company would also like to thank Lead Instructor Jack Lees from Montgomery County Fire Academy for the invaluable training.
