Accident Involving SEPTA Trolley

Springfield Fire Company responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident on East Scenic Road at the Septa Trolley tracks on Friday, April 14th at 15:23 hours.  TAC 44 went responding and was advised by the County 911 center that the accident was involving one vehicle and a SEPTA trolley.  Upon arrival of TAC 44 and Springfield Police, there was one vehicle approximately 100 feet down the tracks from East Scenic Road.

All the occupants of the vehicle were out of the vehicle when TAC 44 arrived on location.  Firefighters checked the vehicle, assisted EMS and stood by on the scene until the vehicle was removed from the tracks.  Ambulance 44-7 transported the occupants of the vehicle to Springfield Hospital for observation.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 15:53 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Utility 44, Ambulance 44-7, Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital), Springfield Police and Fire Police, Septa Police and Septa Supervisors.
