Members Complete Vehicle Rescue Awareness Training Ten members of Springfield Fire Company completed the first part in a three part series of Vehicle Rescue training being conducted at the firehouse. The training is being conducted by Montgomery County Fire Academy and Instructor Jack Lees. Rutledge Fire Company also had two members participate in the training class. The awareness level training combined classroom instruction and hands-on training. Topics covered included: scene safety, Incident Command, stabilization, vehicle construction and controlling scene hazards. The classrooms sessions were held at Station 44 and the hands-on training was conducted at the Springfield Township Highway garage. The next class class covering Vehicle Rescue Operations level training will be held in May with the final class covering Vehicle Rescue technician level training to be held in June. |
