Springfield Fire Company to Host a Housing Celebration

Springfield Fire Company will be hosting a traditional Housing Ceremony for the newest apparatus additions to Station 44, Engine 44-1, Rescue 44 and Utility 44.  The housing ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 24th at 12 noon at the firehouse.

The housing ceremony is a long standing tradition in the fire service.  Springfield Fire Company has invited fire companies from around Delaware County, local and state representatives and other special guests to participate in the ceremony.  Springfield Fire Company would also like to invite all residents from Springfield Township who have supported the fire company during our 85 years of service to Springfield Township.  Your support continues to help make Springfield Fire Company one of the best.

Saxer Avenue will be closed to traffic during the day from 9a.m. to 3p.m. and attendees are encouraged to park in the municipal parking lot behind Wawa or enjoy a nice walk through the neighborhood to the firehouse.

* Any companies that will be attending the housing with apparatus are asked to enter Saxer Avenue from Baltimore Pike.  There will be parking on Saxer Avenue at the firehouse for apparatus. *
