Wild Ride for Healthplex Visitor

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Thursday, November 3rd, at 13:03 hours to 190 West Sproul Road for Motor Vehicle Accident.  TAC 44 and Chief 44-9 arrived on location and found a one vehicle accident in the rear of the hospital property by the parking garage.

The driver had lost control of their vehicle before entering the parking garage and ended up about 100 feet down an embankment next to the parking garage.  Firefighters from TAC 44 checked the vehicle for hazards and controlled a fuel spill and assisted Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital) with evaluating the driver.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 13:34 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Ambulance 44-7, Medic 106, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
