Firefighters Extinguish Van Fire

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Monday, October 10th at 20:53 hours to the parking lot of Bed, Bath and Beyond (857 Baltimore Pike) for a vehicle fire. Chief 44-9 arrived on location and reported a fire in the engine compartment of a van in the lot.
TAC 44 arrived on location and went into service with an 1 3/4" hose line and quickly extinguished the fire. Firefighters from Engine 44-4 assisted the crew from TAC 44.
Firefighters remained on the scene until 21:23 hours.
Units operating on the scene were: TAC 44, Engine 44-4, Ambulance 44-7, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
