New Utility 44 Displayed at Crime Prevention Fair

Springfield Fire Company participated in Springfield Police Department's annual Crime Prevention Fair on Monday, August 1st at Powell Road municipal parking lot.  The event provided a great opportunity for Springfield Fire Company to display the most recent addition to the apparatus, Utility 44.

Utility 44 was purchased by the Springfield Township Fireman's Relief Association.  The vehicle will be utilized to assist the fire company on fire and accident scenes and also to assist the Fire Police with traffic control and special details.

The Utility is a 2005 Ford F-350 Crew cab, 6.0 liter power stroke diesel engine with 4 wheel drive and a 9 foot Reading utility body.  The vehicle was purchased thru Robin Ford of Glenolden and the emergency lighting and vehicle lettering were completed by JTek Lighting in Chester Springs, PA.
