New Rescue to be Delivered

Members from Springfield Fire Company made the final inspection trip to the Sutphen Corporation on Friday, July 15th and some minor adjustments were needed to the new rescue truck before it could be delivered.  The 2005 Sutphen Rescue is being purchased by the Springfield Township Fireman's Relief Association and being equipped with all new rescue equipment, of which some is currently in service on Engine 44-4.  The expected delivery date is Saturday, July 23rd at 12:00 p.m. at the firehouse.

Springfield Fire Company invites residents and local firefighters to stop by the station and see the new apparatus.

Once the vehicle is delivered, vehicle lettering and equipment mounting must be completed before the truck is placed into service.  The rescue truck is expected to be in service by the end of August.
