Young Residents Help Cool Down Firefighters

Springfield Fire Company was returning from an Automatic Fire Alarm on West Sproul Road when a local lemonade stand at Spring Valley Road and Kerr Lane looked to good to pass up.  The fire alarm call turned out to be an accidental alarm but the hot and humid weather is always tough on firefighters no matter what the emergency.

Firefighter/EMT Alan Stapleton and Engineer John Fox joined Maddie Depommier (3 yrs), Gabrielle Depommier (6 yrs.) and Kate Welliver (11 yrs) at the lemonade stand.  The young saleswomen were happy to refresh the firefighters and also provide some very tasty baked goods.

Just one more example of why Springfield Fire Company members are always proud to be protecting such fine residents.
