Springfield Firefighters Help Keep Phillies Red Hot

Picture 1

Springfield Firefighters returned again to Citizens Bank Park to watch some Phillies baseball.  On Tuesday, June 7th, the Fire Company watched the red hot Fightin' Phils take on the Texas Rangers.  The members were also well feed, as the promotion that night at the Park was Dollar Dog Night!

The Members and the over 33,000 fans in attendance where letting the Phillies players know that they were not happy with some early mental mistakes in the game.  The Phillies played an overall good game and prevailed in the end, 8-5.

Springfield Fire Company would like to thank our fellow firefighters from Clifton Heights Fire Company that provided stand-by coverage at Station 44 while our members attended the ball game.  Springfield Fire Company would also like to thank Bob Olson of Robin Ford for providing the transportation to and from the game.  Let's hope that there is another trip to the ball park come October.
