Memorial Day Parade 2005 The Springfield Fire Company participated in the annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 30th . The parade honors those men and women who have served and are currently serving their country, especially those who gave the supreme sacrifice. Memorial ceremonies were held at Veterans Memorial Park, St. Francis Of Assisi, Old Central School and the Township Building (50 Powell Road). Numerous residents attended the parade to honor those who gave so much for our freedoms. Springfield Fire Company members dressed in the new company uniforms for the first time to honor our veterans. The Springfield Fire Company would like to honor and thank, along with all Township residents, the men and women who protected our great nation and continue to stand guard in the name of peace and freedom. Springfield Fire Company also honors two members that are currently serving with the United States Marine Corps, Firefighter Timothy English and Firefighter Sean Getz. |
