VFW Honors Firefighter of the Year on Loyalty Day
Springfield Fire Company Fire Police Sergeant Richard Gildea was honored as the Firefighter of the Year by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5705 at their 13th Annual Loyalty Day on Saturday, April 30th at the Springfield Township Municipal Building.
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5705 honors a Firefighter, Police Officer and EMT of the Year for Springfield Township during their annual Loyalty Day ceremony.
Sergeant Richard Gildea was honored for his years of dedicated service to Springfield Fire Company. Sergeant Gildea joined the Fire Company in 1957 and has held numerous positions within the Fire Company and the Fire Police.
The Officers and Members of Springfield Fire Company congratulate Sergeant Richard Gildea on his being honored as the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5705 Firefighter of the Year for 2005.
