Vehicle Hits Tree on Leamy Avenue

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Thursday, February 17th, at 21:41 hours to East Leamy Avenue and Ballymore Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident.  Upon arrival of Chief 44-9, 44-9B and Springfield Police, one vehicle had struck a parked car and a tree at the intersection.

TAC 44 arrived on location, stabilized the vehicle and used the Hurst rescue tools to remove the passenger and drivers side doors to gain access to the driver for the medical personnel.  Firefighters from Rescue 44 assisted at the scene.  The driver of the vehicle was transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center by Ambulance 44-7 and Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital).

Units remained on the scene until 22:11 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Rescue 44, Ambulance 44-7, Medic 106, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
