Another Busy Year for Springfield Fire Company Springfield Fire Company finished another busy year with some new records for 2004. Springfield Firefighters handled a record number 1007 incidents in 2004. Included in that 1007 is 862 emergency calls and 145 drills and details. Springfield Firefighters also worked on some major projects during 2004, including: placing a new 2004 Sutphen engine into service, completing specifications for a new 2005 rescue truck, implementing a Rapid Intervention Team response with mutual aid companies on all structure fire calls within Springfield Township and assisting neighboring fire companies with Rapid Intervention Team responses, new dress uniforms for the membership to be purchased in 2005 and evaluation and approval of new rescue equipment from Holmatro, Inc for the new rescue truck. Springfield Fire Company looks forward to 2005 and the many challenges that a new year brings. Springfield Fire Company will be completing over 85 years of service to Springfield Township during the year and we look forward to protecting the citizens for many years to come. The members of Springfield Fire Company would like to thank the citizens and elected officials of Springfield Township for their continued support of the Fire Company. Without the overwhelming support, we could not be where we are today, protecting the citizens of Springfield Township with some of the best firefighting equipment available. |
