Springfield Firefighters Attend Visit by First Lady

Springfield Fire Company members were on hand at Primos Secane Westbrook Park Fire Company (Company 74) on Tuesday, October 19th for a visit by First Lady Laura Bush.  The visit by the First Lady was held by the Republican National Committee and was a rally event for the re-election of President George W. Bush.

First Lady Laura Bush arrived around 3pm and spoke to the crowd inside the new firehouse of Company 74 for about a half hour.  Springfield Fire Company members were happy to be on hand to meet the First Lady and listen to the campaign messages.  With only two weeks left before the Presidential election, the candidates for president are working hard to get their political messages out to the public.

Springfield Fire Company would like to thank our fellow firefighters at Station 74 for the invitation to attend the event.  Don't forget, November 2nd is election day.  For all eligible voters, don't forget to exercise your constitutional right to vote.
