Motorcycle Accident on State Road

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on alarm #04-527 on Friday, July 30th at 20:33 hours to State Road and West Springfield Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident involving a Motorcycle.  Springfield Police arrived on the scene first and had a motorcycle operator down in the middle of the intersection with severe injuries.

TAC 44 arrived on location and set-up a safe work zone in the intersection for medical personnel.  The crew from TAC 44 assisted Ambulance 44-7 and Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital) with treatment and packaging of the injured subject.

The motorcycle operator was transported to Crozer Chester Medical Center's Trauma Unit.

TAC 44 and Rescue 44 provided lighting for the Police Department and secured both vehicles involved in the accident.  Springfield Police is investigating the accident.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 21:33 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Rescue 44, Ambulance 44-7, Medic 106, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
