New Engine Placed into Service

Springfield Fire Company placed the new 2004 Sutphen Engine (Engine 44-1) into service on Saturday, July 24th.  The engine will be replacing the 1995 Sutphen engine as the first responding apparatus on all structure fires in Springfield Township.  Information on Engine 44-1 is listed in the apparatus section of the web site.

The first call for the new engine was at 07:15 hours on Sunday, July 25th to 1001 Baltimore Pike, John Harvard's Restaurant for a Fire Alarm.  The call turned out to be a false activation.

Springfield Fire Company would like to thank the citizens of Springfield Township and the Commissioners of Springfield Township for their continued support of the Fire Company and for making the purchase of this new apparatus possible.
