Vehicle Crashes into House on State Road

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Tuesday, July 20th, at 5:35 hours to State Road and Buttonwood Drive for a Motor Vehicle Accident.  Springfield Police arrived on the scene and had one vehicle that had crashed into the rear of a dwelling at the intersection of State Road and Buttonwood Drive.

TAC 44 arrived on the scene and stabilized the vehicle and  checked the structure for hazards.  Firefighters shut off utilities to the affected areas of the home.  No occupants inside the vehicle were hurt and the resident of the home was unharmed.

Firefighters stood by while the tow truck company attempted to remove the vehicle from the home and off a cyclone fence.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 07:00 hours.
