Staples Sign Falls onto Parked Cars

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Thursday, July 15th, at 20:05 hours to assist Springfield Police at 751 West Sproul Road, Staples Store.  One of the exterior lighted signs on the Staples building came crashing down onto four parked cars in the side lot.

Firefighters from Rescue 44 secured the power to the sign and stabilized the sign while the four cars were removed.  No one was injured when the sign fell, but the four cars involved sustained moderate damage.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 20:40 hours.
