Fire Company Honors Sam Hoy

Springfield Fire Company honored the late Sam Hoy on the Springfield Volunteer Memorial Wall on Saturday, July 3rd before the annual Fourth of July Parade.  Each year, ten volunteer organizations within Springfield Township nominate an Exemplary Volunteer to be added to the Memorial Wall.

Sam Hoy held numerous positions within Springfield Fire Company during his more than 20 years of active service with the Company.  Betty Hoy, widow of Sam Hoy, accepted the honor on behalf of her late husband.

After the Springfield Volunteer Memorial Wall Ceremony, the annual Fourth of July parade was held and enjoyed by all in attendance and was well attended by the citizens of Springfield Township.

Springfield Fire Company hopes that all citizens had a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July holiday.
