Recent Fire Deaths Shows Need for Smoke Detectors Recently in our area there have been 3 fire deaths, one in Clifton Heights Boro and a double fatal fire in Nether Providence Township. In each case there was no working smoke detectors in the dwelling! Springfield Fire Company would like to remind residents that you need at least one working smoke detector on each level of your home. They are inexpensive and can be a life safer. We ask that twice a year your put fresh batteries in your battery operated detectors. When you change your clocks, change your batteries! If you have any questions or need assistance, please call the Springfield Fire Company on our non-emergency number: (610) 544-0260 and ask to speak with a Line Officer. |
