Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Tuesday, June 29th, at 11:40 hours to North Bishop Avenue and Penn Lane for a Truck Fire.  Chief 44-9 responded and was advised by County 911 that the truck was Engine 20-2 (Garrettford Drexel Hill Fire Company).

TAC 44 arrived on the scene and assisted members from Company 20 that had the situation under control.  Company 44 members assisted with disconnecting the batteries on Engine 20-2.  The engine was not responding to an emergency at the time of the incident.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 12:10 hours.  Firefighters from Company 20 stood by until the engine was removed from the highway.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Engine 20-1, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
