Bathroom Fire on Netherwood Drive Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on alarm #04-348 on Monday, May24th, at 06:38 hours along with Primos Secane Fire Company (Company 74) and Holmes Fire Company (Rescue 43 - RIT Team) to the unit block of Netherwood Drive for a Dwelling Fire. Upon arrival of Captain 44-12A, light smoke was showing inside the home. Tower 74 and Engine 44-1 arrived on location and went into service with an 1 3/4" hose line. Firefighters, using the thermal imaging camera from Engine 44-1, located the source of the smoke in the second floor bathroom. The shower curtain had caught fire and produced a heavy volume of smoke on the second floor. The fire was contained to the bathtub area and firefighters provided ventilation for the entire structure. Firefighters remained on the scene until 07:08 hours. Units operating on the scene were: Engine 44-1, Tower 74, Engine 44-2, Ambulance 44-7, Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital), Springfield Police and Fire Police. |
