Old Glory Travels America's Freedom Road Through Springfield

Springfield Fire Company participated in Century Link America's World Flag Tour "Old Glory Travels America's Freedom Road" on Tuesday, March 9th, at Springfield High School.

The World Flag Tour has been organized by David Pawlewicz, President of Century Link American and a former resident of Springfield Township.  The tour began in 1999 and the flag has been around the country and around the world at historic places in our American history and at community ceremonies honoring Old Glory.

Two presentations were held at Springfield High School, during the day for students of the high school and another ceremony in the evening for residents of the community as a celebration of freedom and the American Flag and to honor our American Veterans and Emergency Services personnel.
