VFW Loyalty Day 2003

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #5705 held their 11th Annual Loyalty Day ceremony on May 3rd at the Township Building.  The VFW honors one member from the Ambulance, Fire and Police Departments each year for their service to the community.

Louis Valentine was honored as the Firefighter of the Year from Springfield Fire Company.  Firefighter Valentine has been a member of Springfield Fire Company for 15 years.  He has held numerous positions within the fire company and is currently the Chairman of the Membership Committee on the Board of Directors.  Lou has over 34 years of firefighting experience, coming from Clifton Heights Fire Company in 1988.

Springfield Fire Company would like to thank VFW Post #5705 for the outstanding loyalty day service.  We are honored to participate in the event each year and we our honored to see the men and women who proudly served their country.
