Car Strikes Tree, Traps Driver
Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Wednesday, January 29th, at 00:15 hours for a Motor Vehicle Accident. Upon arrival of Springfield PD, the accident was upgraded to a Motor Vehicle Accident with Entrapment.
TAC 44 arrived on scene and worked to extricate the driver. Firefighters from Rescue 44 and Engine 44-1 assisted at the scene. Firefighters removed both doors on the driver side of the vehicle and the center roof post.
Ambulance 44-7A and Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital) provided patient care and transported the driver to Crozer Chester Medical Center.
Firefighters remained on the scene until 01:05 hours.
Units operating on the scene were: Tac 44, Rescue 44, Engine 44-1, Ambulance 44-7A, Medic 106, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
