Friends of Cris Hansen Benefit a Huge Success Friends of Cris Hansen (F.O.C.H.) benefit held at the Lagoon in Essington on Saturday, January 25th was a huge success. Members of Swarthmore Fire Company, Taylor Hospital Paramedics, family, friends and fellow emergency service friends joined in on a great cause to help out a fellow firefighter and friend. The benefit raised $25,000 dollars to help Cris Hansen with his battle with esophageal cancer. Cris was very grateful to all that attended and have shown concern for him while he fights his biggest battle. Cris Hansen has been an active member of Swarthmore Fire Company since the age of 16. He has held numerous positions within the organization including Fire Chief for 11 years. Cris was instrumental in progressing Swarthmore Fire Company during his time as Fire Chief. The membership of Springfield Fire Company was honored to be a part of such a great cause and would like to congratulate all the Friends of Cris Hansen with the great job done in honoring a great man. |
