Benefit for Former Chief Cris Hansen - Swarthmore Fire Company

Swarthmore Fire Company and Taylor Hospital Paramedics will be honoring Former Fire Chief Cris Hansen at the Lagoon Restaurant in Essington on Saturday, January 25th from 5p.m. to 9p.m.

Cris Hansen has been an active member of Swarthmore Fire Company since the age of 16.  He has held numerous positions within the organization including Fire Chief for 11 years.  Cris was instrumental in progressing Swarthmore Fire Company during his time as Fire Chief.

Chief Hansen's latest challenge comes from his battle with Esophageal Cancer.  Cris underwent surgery and now faces extensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments.  His prognosis is excellent.
