Car Into the House on Cheyney Road

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on alarm #03-947 on Tuesday, December 16th to the 600 Block of Cheyney Road for a Vehicle into a House.  Upon arrival of Springfield Police and Springfield Township Fire Marshal, a car had crashed into the garage door of a house and the occupant was still inside the car.

Upon arrival of TAC 44, firefighters stabilized the vehicle and assisted the occupant out of the vehicle.  No injuries were sustained by the driver, but several vehicles were damaged.  The driver of the vehicle apparently lost control of their vehicle while backing out of the driveway and crashed into the attached garage across the the street and a parking car in the driveway.

One vehicle that was damaged in the accident was a classic Mustang parked inside the garage.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 08:42 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Rescue 44, Ambulance 44-7A, Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital), Springfield Police and Fire Police and Springfield Township's Fire Marshal.
