Springfield High School Bon Fire 2003

Springfield High School held their annual Bon Fire, Thursday evening, October 30 on the Athletic Fields behind the High School.  The Annual event is a celebration of all the fall sports teams and also a Student Rally for the up coming Football Game between Springfield and Ridley High School.

Springfield Fire Company stood-by with TAC 44 and Engine 44-1 to keep everything safe and to handle extinguishing the remaining  fire after the event was over.

The students organize the event each year with the help of Student Advisors, from obtaining the wooden palates and materials needed for the Bon Fire, to setting up the Bon Fire pile and also gaining the proper permits needed for the event.

The Bon Fire has been an annual tradition for the past five years.  The Bon Fire tradition was started up again back in 1999 by the student body after a long absence.

The event was a success once again and hopefully will continue to be a success for many more years.
