Greater Springfield Business Association 5K Run/Walk
Springfield Fire Company participated in the third annual Greater Springfield Business Association 5K Run/Walk on October 19. The event supports the Delaware County Hero Scholarship Fund and the Springfield Township Fund for the Elderly.
Springfield Fire Company had two teams participate in the race. The Running Team placed second best overall for Emergency Responder Running Teams and the Walking Team finished best overall for Corporate Walking Team.
Tower 44 provided an aerial view of the Start/Finish Line. Springfield Ambulance Corps was also in attendance with members stationed throughout the course and on bicycles to provide assistance to any runners or walkers during the race.
The race we another success and everyone can mark their calendars now for October 17th, 2004.
