Firefighters Handle Mid-morning Car Fire

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Wednesday. October 1st, at 09:20 hours to Eagle Road and West Rolling Road for a Vehicle Fire.  Upon arrival of Chief 44-9, the engine compartment of a minivan was on fire.

TAC 44 arrived on the scene and went into service with an 1 3/4" hose line.  Firefighters from Engine 44-2 assisted the crew from TAC 44.  Firefighters quickly handled the fire.  Ambulance 44-7 stood by at the scene.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 09:48 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Engine 44-2, Ambulance 44-7, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
