Firefighters Extinguish Car Fire
Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Alarm # 03-670 on Thursday, September 18th, at 10:10 hours for a Car Fire at West Sproul Road and Beatty Road. Upon arrival of Chief 44-9, the vehicle was well involved with fire in the engine compartment.
TAC 44 arrived on the scene and went into service with an 1 3/4" hose line and quickly controlled the fire. The vehicle sustained heavy damage. Ambulance 44-7 stood by the scene while firefighters finished extinguishment.
Firefighters remained on the scene until 10:36 hours.
Units operating on the scene were: TAC 44, Ambulance 44-7, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
