Fire Company Participates in Good Neighbor's Day at Polites Florist

Picture 1

Springfield Fire Company participated in the Second Annual Good Neighbor's Day at Polites Florist, 443 Baltimore Pike, on Wednesday, September 3rd.  The Fire Company was on hand to greet customers and residents and hand out fire prevention literature.  Representatives from the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleading Team were also on hand to participate in the event.

Polites Florist was giving out 20,000 roses, in bunches of 12, absolutely free to all who stopped by, while supplies lasted.  There was only one "catch" and that was anyone picking up free roses was to keep one rose for themselves and give the others away to 11 different people in observance of FTD Good Neighbor's Day.

Chris Polites and the staff of Polites Florist wish to thank everyone that participated in the 2nd Annual event at their Springfield location and the Upper Darby store, 42 Garrett Road.  Chris Polites states, "Polites Florist is only a host to this annual event.  This is really about the good people who work and live in this great community.  An opportunity to say hello and get better acquainted with your neighbor.  It's about greeting the fine Police and Fire personnel dedicated to neighborhood protection.  It's a chance to mingle with township leaders and state representatives who work to preserve the quality of life in our community.  It's a chance to meet civic minded individuals and groups who volunteer for good causes.  And finally it's about doing something that's fun.  Celebrate goodwill and Neighborliness."

Springfield Fire Company would like to thank Chris Polites and the staff of Polites Florist for the opportunity to participate in such a great event.  We look forward to next year.
