Local Church Honors Hometown Heroes
Springfield Fire Company was honored by the Life Christian Fellowship, 607 West Springfield Road, during the "Honoring Our Heroes" ceremony on Sunday, June 29th. Lieutenant Robert Tracey received the award on behalf of the Fire Company.
The "Honoring Our Heroes" Service recognized the Fire Company, Police Department and Ambulance Corps of Springfield Township for all the work that they due on a daily basis protecting our families, our freedoms and our very lives.
The service also honored personal hometown heroes nominated by the membership of Life Christian Fellowship. Ana Rodriguez, a detective with the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, was a guest speaker at the Service. Ana serves in the Division of Family Violence and Sexual Abuse and she gave her personal story of how she overcame her situation to be where she is today.
Springfield Fire Company would like to thank Life Christian Fellowship for honoring the Fire Company and all our hometown heroes.
After the Service, all attendees we treated to a barbeque lunch on the church grounds.
