Two Separate Accidents Related

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Alarm # 03-487 at 15:37 hours to Springfield Road and State Road for a Motor Vehicle Accident.  Upon arrival of Springfield Police, the location changed to West Springfield Road and Curtis Road.  Chief 16-9A (Yeadon) was on location reporting injuries.

TAC 44 arrived on the scene with a three vehicle accident and assisted EMS and checked the vehicles.  While operating at this incident, Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital) advised County 911 that there was another accident at South State Road and Meetinghouse Lane.

TAC 44 arrived on the scene and had one vehicle in the middle of the intersection with heavy rear-end damage.  Upon investigation it was found out that both accidents were related.  The driver of the vehicle in the first accident left the scene of the accident at State and Meetinghouse before getting into another accident at West Springfield Road and Curtis Road.

Two people were transported to Springfield Hospital with minor injures.

The accidents are under investigation by Springfield Township Police.

Firefighters cleared the second accident at 16:18 hours.
