Fire Company Members Attend FDNY Street Dedication

While on a day trip to New York City, three members of Springfield Fire Company had the opportunity to attend a street dedication ceremony for one of the Fallen Heroes from September 11, 2001 of the Fire Department of New York City's Rescue Company 5.

Firefighter Joseph A. Mascali, FDNY Rescue Company 5, had the intersection of Bache Avenue and Clawson Avenue, Staten Island, dedicated in his honor.  His family's private residence is on Bache Avenue and that intersection will always been known has Joseph A. Mascali way to pay tribute to his heroic efforts and supreme sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

Rescue Company 5 was visited by the members of Springfield Fire Company on November 17th, 2001 after attending the funeral of Leonard "Lenny" Ragaglia, of Engine Company 54.
