Vehicle on Fire at Auto Repair Shop

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Thursday, February 06th, at 16:43 hours for a Vehicle Fire in the 200 Block of Baltimore Pike.   Chief 44-9 arrived on the scene with a conversion van on fire in front of the service bay at McVeigh's Auto Repair Shop, 201 Baltimore Pike.

TAC 44 arrived on scene and went into service with an 1 3/4" hoseline.  The fire was quickly brought under control and the building was not damaged by the vehicle fire.  Firefighters from Engine 44-1 assisted the crew from TAC 44.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 17:26.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Engine 44-1, Ambulance 44-7, Springfield Police and Fire Police.
