Car Fire on South Rolling Road

Springfield Fire Company was dispatched on Wednesday, December 4th, at 23:42 hours for a Car Fire at 136 Saxer Avenue.  Chief 44-9B arrived on scene with an engine compartment fire in a vehicle that had struck a tree on South Rolling Road at Saxer Avenue.

TAC 44 went in service with an 1 3/4" hoseline and quickly placed the fire under control.  Firefighters from Engine 44-2 assisted on the scene and the crew from Ambulance 44-7A checked the driver of the vehicle for injuries.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 00:15 hours.

Units operating on the scene were:  TAC 44, Engine 44-2, Ambulance 44-7A, Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital), Springfield Police and Fire Police.
