Thanksgiving Rescuer has ties to Springfield Fire Company
While most people were still in bed resting up for a big Thanksgiving Day, Captain Demetrios Vlassopoulos, of the Washington D.C. Fire Department, was on his way to work along I-270 in Montgomery County, Maryland when he came across a Motor Vehicle Accident involving a 8500 gallon tanker truck.
Captain Vlassopoulos, who lives in the Metro Washington D.C. area, started his firefighting career with Springfield Fire Company as a volunteer firefighter. Great job Demetrios!!
