2001 Fire Prevention Open House

The Springfield Fire Company would like to invite everyone to our 2001 Fire Prevention Open House at the Firehouse on Friday, October 12th, from 7pm to 9pm.

The Springfield Fire Company apparatus will be on display along with apparatus from some surrounding communities.  Children will have the chance to practice Stop, Drop and Roll, win prizes, and also have a chance to see Patches and Pumper.  Adults can get the opportunity to talk with Members of the Fire Company and get a better understanding of the organizaton that protects your home and community.

There will be Home Fire Safety Demonstrations, a Vehicle Rescue Display, Fire Safety Videos, Fire Prevention Literature handouts and refreshments for everyone.

Mark your calendar now, and plan to have an enjoyable and informative visit to Springfield Fire Company.  We hope to see you there and remember, Fire Prevention is a year long practice - Have a Fire Safe Year.

Springfield Fire Company will also be excepting donations for the September 11th Relief Fund for the Families of New York City Firefighters and Emergency Personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice while saving so many lives on that tragic morning of September 11th, 2001.

Note:  Due to the Fire Prevention Open House, Saxer Avenue will be closed Friday, October 12th, from 6:30pm to 9:30 pm.
