Firefighters Win Township Golf Outing
Springfield Township held it Annual Interdepartmental Golf Outing on Saturday May 13, at 12:00 hours at Springfield Country Club. The weather made for a nice day of golf and the course was in excellent shape.
The Tournament had a Scramble format with foursomes from the Fire Company, Police Department, Park Department, Public Works and the Township Offices competing in the friendly tournament. The outing also had prizes for closest to the pin on all par 3's and a Long Drive Prize on the 18th hole.
The Fire Company foursome of Matthew LeTourneau, Bob Bansept, Dave Osciak and Mark Allen won the annual event this year with an overall score of 5 under par.
The event was an enjoyable day for all the departments involved and everyone is looking forward to next year's event.
